We've updated the instance types and pricing in our managed database service plans. These new instances support the following database engines and versions (as of October 2020):
These instances use AWS's new "Graviton2" 64-bit ARM processor and Nitro hypervisor, resulting in significant performance gains over the previous version of database instances. All instances include our automated autoscaling storage feature.
We now offer more granular performance and memory storage options. Instances starting at 2 vCPU's and up are priced lower than before - up to 45% for specific configurations!

*Assumes 100 GiB of disk storage and daily snapshot with 1 day retention. Additional storage and/or snapshots are billed at $0.35/GiB.
Important change - database backups for these new instances now incur a $0.06/GiB storage fee. We can now accommodate custom backup schedules, retention options, or disable backups completely (e.g. test environments). To learn more about the default backups schedule and retention policy, please refer to this article.
How do I migrate my existing database plan?
Create a help disk ticket, specifying your current database service address and desired instance type in the above table. We'll schedule a maintenance window during which we'll migrate your existing data to a new instance.
